FIRE WATCHING

BUILDING ORGANISERS

The Permanent Organiser of the City Fire Watching Service, Mr. HarnpsonTindale, stated that today is the last day set by public notice for the nomination of building organisers, and that from tonight his organisation would! be concerned with the routine matters connected with the appointment of building organisers and with providing them with the information necessary to the carrying out of their duties.

Those who had so far failed in their duties of nominating their building organisers would have to wait developments, whereas those who had fulfilled their obligations would be empowered to go straight ahead and would be furnished with as much guidance as possible.

It was anticipated that the actual formal appointments of building organisers would be issued about Monday or Tuesday of the coming week and that by the end of that week all questionnaires should be returned, following which the full scheme should be capable of enunciation.

Those who did not by tonight comply with the requirement to send in nominations were required to furnish the necessary details at once, but they could not receive the attention of the organisation until such time as those who had complied by the fixed date had been attended to.

A meeting of building wardens and building organisers will shortly be called by the Permanent Organiser.
