SUBVERSION CHARGES
Evidence of the finding of allegedly subversive leaflets in doorways' and telephone boxes in Wellington suburbs
as given in the Magistrate's Court today when Michael Young appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., on 10 charges of breaches of the Public Safety Emergency Regulations. He pleaded not guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. ,
Mr. W. R. Birks appeared for the Crown. Young was not represented by counsel.
Switches which can be operated from the ground have been installed in Horowhenua County on the-street lighting circuits at Tokomaru, Waitarere, Manakau, Te Horo, Waikanae. Waikanae Beach, and Foxton Heads, for operation by wardens in cases of emergency
