THREE NAZI WARSHIPS
SEEN OFF NORWAY
LONDON, February 21
Stockholm radio says that the German battleships yon Tirpitz, Admiral Scheer, and the cruiser Admiral Hipper are reported to have been sighted steaming northward along the coast of Norway.
"A great improvement in the Battle of the Atlantic has taken place during the last months of 1941," said Mr. A. V. Alexander, First Lord of the Admiralty, opening Grantham's warships week.
"Never before in naval history have we been so stretched. Yet, considering that we have been at war for two years and a half, we have suffered remarkably little in'our standard of life and comfort."
