PASSENGERS DELAYED

The engine of the 5.22 p.m. Welling-ton-Paekakariki train was derailed on the up line near Pukerua Bay shortly after 6 p.m. yesterday, The cause of the derailment has not yet been ascertained Passengers were transferred to the Wellington-Palmerston North train which left Wellington at 5.47 p.m. This train was held up for about half an hour owing to the derailment.
