MOUNTAINS ON THE BILIN
(Rec. 9 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 17.
According to the Paris radio, the Japanese are 30 miles from Pegu.
A narrow. valley encloses the Bilin River. Mountains rise on the western side for over 3000 feet.
The British troops are drawn up on this line—Bo miles from Rangoon—and expect heavy attacks.
The Japanese are reported to be 13 miles from Rangoon, states a Rome radio message from Tokio..
