LONDON, January 8,
The Chungking newspaper, "Central Daily News," said today: "China is ready to-send troops to any front where they are. needed. The immense manpower of China is entirely at the disposal of the Allied Supreme Command."
After their defeat at Changsha the losses of the Japanese are steadily mounting. One Chungking message said today that Japanese troops which had been sent south to help in the assault on Changsha were themselves surrounded and trapped. A town which the Japanese have; made their main base is now threatened.
Chinese planes successfully bombed Japanese positions in northern Hunan, extensively damaging military objectives. : :
