An Air Ministry communique states: "A number of offensive sweeps by patrols have been carried out over northern France, and the Channel to"In the course of these, attacks were made on an electricity transformer station, factory buildings, railway communications, and canal barges. It is stated in London that, shortly 'before dark, British fighters shot down an enemy bomber into the sea off the !east coast. / ; An Air Ministry home security communique states that single enemy aircraft flew over the north of "England in daylight today.
