DRAFT REACHES AUCKLAND

NOT FROM MIDDLE EAST

AUCKLAND, October 10!

Invalided home as the result of sickness or accidental injury, a New Zealand Expeditionary Force draft of three officers and 19 other ranks has reached' Auckland after* service overseas. The draft is not from the Middle East. Six of the draft were admitted to the military wing of the Auckland Hospital and the remainder were passed through a medical board, Auckland men subsequently going to their homes and others being accommodated in the City before leaving for southern destinations tomorrow.

Those admitted to hospital were:— Second-Lieutenant A. Scott (Palmerston North), Corporal E. W: Frame (Wyndham), Privates N. L: Earley (Waitoitoi), G. A. Gwynne (Wellington), C. G. Johnston (Oamaru), and T. R. Reid (Onewhero). Others in the draft were Captain A. A. Cooper (Christchurch), Captain M. Greville (Auckland), Lance-Corporal R. Chambers (Wanganui), Driver E. J. Maori onald (Auckland), .Privates S. F. Croft (Lower Hutt), I. C.'Grimmett (Ngaio), P. A. Hester (Wellington), G. Kitching (Danneyirke), W. L. Kirkham (Dunedin), A. R. McNeil (Lower Hutt), W. McNeil (Christchurch), M. D. C. Mitten (Christchurch), D. R. Neno (Waihi), A. A. Strong (Auckland), H. J. Sutcliffe (Linwood) and J. H.Wilson (Wellington).
