TROUBLE IN A UNION
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, August 15. Since yesterday's announcement that Mr. H. Barnes had been elected president of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Waterside Workers' Union in succession to Mr. T. Solomon, who has been appointed wharf superintendent, it is learned that the walking delegate, secretary and executive of the branch have resigned. They state that their action is dictated by a policy matter and not antagonism towards the new president. All offer themselves for re-election. A ballot to fljl the vacancies will be held next week.
