UNABLE TO AID ICELAND
LONDON, May 20.
The Iceland Parliament has adopted a resolution giving the country the right to sever the Act of Union which since 1918 has united Iceland to Denmark, because the statute cannot formally be cancelled until after the war.
Since Denmark became a satellite State of Germany, she has been unable to carry out her obligations to Iceland under the Act of Union, These include taking charge of Iceland's foreign affairs.
