HUTT V ST. PAT'S COLLEGE OLD BOYS
The Hutt forwards gave a very good display against St. Pat's Old Boys at the Hutt Recreation Ground. Dune (half-back) and Graham (full-back) played very fine football, and gave excellent help to the hard-working forwards. With their forwards beaten, St. Pat's could not get the backs working, and, to add to the difficulty, Luoni, half, hurt his wrist, and had to retire, as did McSweeney (hooker). For Hutt, Burtbn, Bougen, and Stewart scored tries, two being converted by Cassidy, who also kicked a penalty goal. For St. Patrick's 0.8., Poland scored a try, Dance converting, and also kicking a penalty goal. Results: Hutt 16, St. Patrick's College 0.8. 8. Mr. A. R. Morice was the referee.
