W.C.0.8. AND AIR FORCE
The match between Wellington College Old Boys and Air Force, played early at Athletic Park, aroused much enthusiasm during its concluding stages. It was then that tbe Air Force were making repeated endeavours to wipe out small arrears, but their -, efforts, though going close, were of no avail. At one stage of the second spell the sides were all square in points, and it was then that Old Boys made a break which gave them the winning try. There was no lack of-enterprise in tho play, and each side scored three tries. Fauvel, Shortt. and Lindsay each scored a try for Old Boys, and Armour kicked a penalty goal. Pearson, Black, and Archer were the try-getters for Air Force. There were no conversions. Result: Wellington College Old Boys 12, Air Force 9. Mr. E. G. Mildenhall was the referee.
