THE OPEN BRETHREN
Two correspondents, "A.E.W." and "Returned Soldier," write as members of the Open Brethren with reference to Mr. E. Gordon Anderson's statement that the opinion expressed before the Armed Forces Appeal Board was not the opinion of the Open Brethren as a whole, merely of a section thereof. The correspondents hold that the question of military service is one between the individual and his Lord and no member can state that a view is held only by a section."
[It should be pointed out, in fairness to the first, correspondent, that he did not state what was the opinion of the Open Brethren as a whole, but protested against the opinion expressed before the Board being so regarded and pointed out that many brethren were taking up a different attitude.]
