Mails close at Chief Post Office, Wellington, Cl, as under: — Mails close at Post Office, Te Aro, C 2, and Wellington East, C 3, a half-hour prior to the closing of mails. at the Chief Post Office, between the hours of 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.rri? (Mails for Auckland, per "Limited" express, close at these offices at 4.30 p.m.) Overseas mails will be dispatched as opportunity offers. TRANS-TAS3IAN AIR SERVICE. Mails will close at Wellington three times each fortnight. Postage rates: Australia (including air ser- '■ vices in Australia). Letters 5d each halfounce, postcards 3d. £gypt> Africa, and intermediate Empire countries, Is 6d each halfounce, postcards 9d. Mails Outward. —Inland mails will be closed at 8 a.m., except that where mails are usually closed earlier, the usual hour of closing will be observed. Air Mails.—Mails for dispatch by air to Nelson close at 7 a.m., Blenheim 9 a.m., southern offices 10.20 a.m., and Auckland, Hamilton, Thames, Palmerston North, and New Plymouth districts at 11 a.m. There will be no afternoon dispatches. Street Receivers. —There will be no day clearance of posting-boxes. . > Postmen's Deliveries. —No delivery will b« made by postmen 'on January 1. Private-bos Lobby.—Open as usual.
