GOLDEN WEDDING
PETONE RESIDENTS
Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Brockelbank are today celebrating their golden wedding with their daughter, Mrs. E. Brunton, Hastings. Mr. Brockelbank was born in Lincolnshire, England, and arrived in Canterbury, New Zealand, at the age of two years. He.spent his youth in Canterbury and came to Petone in 1889, where he has taken a keen interest in local affairs, being Acting Mayor during the absence of Mr. J. W. McEwan in England. I;
Mrs. Brockelbank '"(nee May) was born on the ship Bouverie in 1873 and has lived in Petone all her life.
They have five children living, eight grandchildren, and three great-grand-children.
