JAPANESE SHIP
ALLEGED CONTRABAND
HAMILTON (Bermuda), Oct. 21,
The British contraband control authorities removed 1600 tons of cargo from the Japanese freighter Durban jlaru. from Lisbon.
The New York office of the Nippon Yusen Kaisha denied that the ship carried contraband. It is said that the cargo originally was consigned to England, and had been unloaded at Lisbon because it was decided not to permit the ship to enter dangerous waters.
