WORK FOR MANY IN U.S.

The Secretary of Labour, Miss Frances Perkins, predicted that in 1941 war orders would employ between 5,000,000 and 6,000,000 people. She estimated that at the end of 1940 30.000 would be working on naval vessels, contracts for which were placed in June and August.
