William McCready, a taxi-driver, appeared before Mr: J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, charged with a breach of the public safety regulations in that he had in his possession 50 copies of the "People's Voice" with a view to facilitating the publication of a subversive statement. Mr. A. R. Perry, who appeared for McCready, said that the defendant was electing trial by jury, and accordingly a remand to next Wednesday was granted.
