LINESMAN'S DEATH
WORKING ON POLE
While engaged in transferring electric wires from one pole to another at the corner of Railway Avenue and Herbert Street, Lower Hutt, yesterday afternoon, William Paterson, linesman, married, aged 29, of 16 Miro Street, Eastbourne, was noticed by his fellowworkmen to have collapsed and. to be hanging by his safety harness. He was brought to the ground and artificial respiration was applied and continued for some time after medical aid had arrived, but without avail. An inquest will be held.
