ASLEEP IN KILN.
Found early this morning sleeping in the kiln owned by the Amalgamated Brick and Pipe Co., three men, Albert Henry George, a labourer, aged 63, John Michael Murphy, labourer and seaman, aged 46, and Len Royal, a labourer, aged 28, appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today and pleaded guilty to being on the premises without lawful excuse.
Sub-Inspector G. H. Lambert said that in consequence of complaints the police visited the kiln and found the men sleeping among the straw with which the kiln was filled. There was a great danger of fire with men sleeping in the kiln. Murphy and George were both of a vagrant type, but Royal had not been before the Court before.
