HAWKE'S BAY TEAM
TO PLAY WELLINGTON
Hawke's Bay's team for the Rugby match with Wellington at Athletic Park next Saturday has been selected as follows:—Full-back, M. Dyer; threequarters, W. Palmer, E. Bligh, E. Little; five-eighths, P. Reid, W. Powdrell; half-back, L. Clothier; forwards, S. McKenzie, J. Brownlie, S. Reid (captain), M. McDonald, J. O'Brien, D. Dalton, E. J. Callaghan, E. Jackson. Emergencies: E. T. Moss and H. Frazer. The team, due here on the morning of the match, will have Mr. N. A. McKenzie as manager.
The Hutt Valley and Wellington primary schools' representatives are to provide the curtain-raiser for the interprovincial match.
SCHOOLS' TOURNEY
Teams representing the Wanganui, Hutt Valley, Wairarapa, and Wellington primary schools are to take part in a tournament in Wellington, commencing next Saturday. The matches will be at Athletic Park, and the draw is as follows: —Saturday, Wanganui v. Wairarapa, 11 a.m., and Hutt Valley v. Wellington, 2 p.m. Monday, Wellington v. Wairarapa, 2 p.m., and Hutt Valley v. Wanganui, 3 p.m. Wednesday, Wairarapa v. Hutt Valley, 2 p.m., and Wanganui v. Wellington, 3 p.m.
Wellington's team is:—Backs: Page (Thorndon), Gardiner, Brown (Newtown Marist), Harris (Berhampore), Grannig (Brooklyn), Ayres (Rongotai College), Perry, Churchward (Miramar South), Carr (Lyall Bay), Poole (Te Aro); forwards, McLean (Thorndon), Simmonds, O'Sullivan (Newtown Marist), Carr (Clyde Quay), Wilton (Berhampore), McCree (Brooklyn), Williams (Rongotai College), Dimock (Porirua), McLachlan (Mount Cook), Lindsay (Newtown).
