VALUABLE NICOTINE
Dr. Kaneo Inouye, of the Tokio Institute of Physical and Chemical Research, announced in Tokio, that nicotine benefits the human system, acting on it the same way as a vitamin. Nicotine acid appeared for the first time at the Britisn Medical Association exhibition last year, when it was described as a vitamin of the B group. A Coventry motor firm recently lifted its ban on smoking in the factory because they found it acted as a tonic and resulted in better workmanship. A chest specialist told a representative of the London "Daily Telegraph," that he had no objections to his patients smoking "so long as it does not make them cough."
