FOR PATRIOTIC FUND
£200 RAISED AT HOMEWOOD
By opening to the public the grounds of his residence, Homewood, Karori, on Saturday, Sunday, and yesterday; Mr. B. Sutherland raised £200 for the Metropolitan Patriotic Committee.
. Acknowledging with thanks the contribution to the fund last night, the Mayor of Wellington, Mr. Hislop, who is chairman of the committee, expressed the committee's appreciation of Mr. Sutherland's generosity in making his grounds available to/the public, many members of which had made a point of expressing their admiration for what they had seen. The, contribution is without/expense to the committee.
