The yearlings purchased by Mr. C. Wheeler, of Adelaide, at the national sales were for the following clients:— Br f by Bulandshar—Love of Silver and eh f by Theio—Huntaway, for Mr. Copeland, Sydney; grey colt by Theio —Princess Ball, for Mr. H. G. Raymond, St. Albans Stud, Geelong; the Bulandshar—Tea Tattle colt for' Mr John Wren, Melbourne; and the bay colt by Foxbridge—Hunting Tower for Mr. H. Bickford, Currie Street, Adelaide. /
After running third to Orelio and Our Jean in the Champion Plate at the Avondale Spring Meeting. Hagen went slightly amiss and had to be treated to a spell, but he has lately been taken in hand again by P. Hazelman at Hastings. The Siegfried horse has shown himself to be a galloper well above the average, but." as he favours the sting out of the ground, it is not likely that he will be hurried in his preparation.
