PONEKE CLUB
On Saturday the Poneke Amateur Cycling Club will hold its second annual Akatarawa road race. Starting from the Grand National Hotel, Petone, at 10 a.m. sharp, the race will be over a distance of 80 miles, the course being particularly arduous. The Akatarawa hill must first be mastered, and then, from Waikanae, the riders will ascend the Paekakariki hill and return to Petone via Haywards and the. Western Hutt Road. ■ ;
