FERRIES TO EXHIBITION
(To the Editor.)
gi r> —Would you submit the following suggestion to the authorities concerned as one means of alleviating the pressure of Exhibition traffic. The idea deals with the proposed ferry service. If disembarked on the jetty at Shelly Bay, passengers would be enabled to finish the journey by bus on a route not used by the main stream of motor vehicles. The Miramar wharf would then be available exclusively to trading ships. This wharf is seldom idle now. The sea trip, which is hated by many persons, would be shortened considerably. This would enable the busy ferry boats to complete more trips in a limited "peak" period.—l am, 6tC" TRYING TO ASSIST.
