AMERICAN POLICE

GUARD FOR ROYALTY

FEVERISH REPAIR WORK

DAMAGED RAILWAY

(By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright.)

(Received June 7, 2 p.m.)

WINDSOR, June 6,

Officials conducting the Royal tour accepted an offer from Detroit to supply detectives and the latter mingled with the crowd. This is the first time in the history of the United States that American police have guarded a British Monarch.

The track near Windsor was ripped up when the engine of a goods train was derailed but an emergency squad which worked feverishly for four hours completed repairs in time to permit the passage of the Royal train.
