FAST FORWARDS

PONEKE V. UNIVERSITY

It was noUuntil the second spell that Poneke tettled down to give anything like a sound display of Kngby football in their match with ■University, at Hataltal Park. The score at half-time was 3-0 In Poneke's favour, Crisp having succeeded with an easy penalty, but the final score was 22-3, Poneke completely dominating play in the second half. Pringle, after an indifferent display in the early stages of the game led the pack in grand style, and he was assisted by Ongley and Hegglun. University for a time were all at sea, and their fast backs were given few opportunities. As far as the hooking went there was little between the teams, but Poneke swung the scrum to advantage on the several occasions, their forwaTds coming away well with the ball at their toes. The first spell was in University's favour territorially, and had Kissell been in kicking form they would have had possibly nine or twelve points on. Tricklebank scored UniTersitv's only points in this manner. Ongley, Pringle, Wright, and Frain scored for Praneke, Crisp converted two and kicked a penalty goal. The referee was Mr. T. G. Taylor.
