CANADIAN DAIRY PRODUCE.

A new high record for the production of creamery butter was established in Canada last year, states the "Canadian Pacific Railway Review.' Increases were reported over 1937 for every month after February and the gain for the year was more than 8 per cent. Production of factory cheese in the Dominion exhibited a decline of 5 per cent, for the year 1938. An upward tendency appeared, however, in October and each of the last three months showed gains as compared with 1937. Creamery butter is made in Canada chiefly for the home market, but the greater part of the .factory cheese production is exported. Both imports and exports of cheese decreased last year. Exports of butter declined but there was an increase in butter imports.
