INTERPRETATION OF AWARD
Interpretation of four points in the New Zealand dairy factory employees' award was sought from Mr. J. A. Gilmour, S.M., in the Industrial Magistrate's Court today, and the Magistrate answered one question and reserved his decision on the other three. The Inspector of Factories (Mr. P. H. Kinsman) represented the Department of Labour, Mr. T. O. Bishop appeared for employers concerned, Mr. C. Gough for the, Wellington branch of the New Zealand Dairy Factory Employees' Union, and Mr. J. Ross for the Taranaki branch.
Further interpretations of the same award are to be sought on Monday.
