Talks to Children. ! The Aro Street Mission Band of Hope met recently at the president's home. Miss Freeman (vice-president) took the chair. Miss Atkinson gave the children a very interesting talk on Rudyard Kipling's "Elephant's Child," and Miss Freeman spoke on "Keeping Fit," which resulted in children signing the pledge. "Coin Afternoon." The V.M.C.A. lounge, decorated with spring flowers, presented a very bright appearance recently when the ladies' auxiliary of the V.M.C.A. Boys' Division held a "coin afternoon." Mrs. Thomleigh gave an interesting talk on her recent travels in India. Items were contributed by Mrs. Lawrence (elocutionary), Mrs. Walsh (songs), and Mrs. Upton (songs). A vote of thanks was passed to all who had helped to make the function so successful.
