SASANOF ONCE GIVEN 10.3

The weights for the New Zealand Cup were framed by Mr. J. E. Henrys, who retired froth handicapping a little over twelve months ago, for a period of 46 years from 1891 to 1936, and in all that period there were only nine occasions on which he did not go'above 9.0 to start his list. The highest weight he ever awarded was to the dual Melbourne and New Zealand Cup winner Sasanof, whom he placed on 10.3 in 1920. Among the colours registered with the Racing Conference during the week were those of the trustees m the estate of Sir Charles Clifford. The well-known and popular Clifford livery, carried by the Chokebore Lodge horses since Sir George founded thestable, has been retained, first and second sets being registered.
