INVERCARGILL, September 29. j "I look on this fight as a crusade for liberty and a crusade for good old British democracy," said Mr. F. G. Hall Jones, National Party candidate for Invercargill, in opening his campaign to- ! night. "We must stamp out Socialism and tell the world we are not going to be slaves to conscription. I ask you to help me drag down the red flag and hoist up the Union Jack." ! Mr. Hall Jones spent much of his | time declaring that the Labour Government was under the complete control of the Easter conference of the Labour Party.
