SPORTS EXHIBITS
CENTENNIAL PROPOSAL
A movement is on foot for the various national controlling bodies of sport in New Zealand to combine for the purpose of making a comprehensive exhibit at the New Zealand Centennial Exhibition in Wellington. One suggestion is for a display of major national trophies and enlarged portraits of the many great champions, past and present, .who have placed New, Zealand in suCh a prominent position in the world of sport during our nation's first century of progress. A preliminary meeting, convened by Mr. A. F. Wiren, was held this week to discuss the proposal. There was an encouraging response, and another meeting is to be held later.
