FINALS REACHED
! Occasional showers of misty rain j slowed up the greens a trifle during the playing of the semi-firials of the j Miramar Ladies' Open Golf Touma-1 ment this morning. The semi-finals of the Miramar Handicap were also played. } i Mrs. D. Crombie (Wellington) again showed good form and beat Miss Wheeler in one of the championship j semi-finals by 5 and 4. Mrs. Pearce, twice winner of the club championship, beat Mrs. Lewis 3 and 1 in the other semi-final. Miss V. Campbell (Timaru), who has showed excellent form throughout tho tournament, beat Mrs. Farr com- J fortably in one of the Miramar Handicap semi-finals. The other semi-final was won by Mrs. Ellison, who beat | Mrs. Mcllroy 6 and 5. Following are the results of this morning's play:—
Championship Semi-finals. Mrs. Crombie beat Miss Wheeler 5 and 4.
Mrs. Pearce beat Mrs. Lewis 3 and 1.
Miramar Handicap, Semi-finals.*** Mrs. Ellison beat Mrs. Mcllroy 6 and 5.
Miss V. Campbell beat Mrs. Farr 5 and 4.
