CROQUET CLUB
NEW SECRETARY ELECTED
The election of officers and committee at the annual meeting of the Mount Victoria Croquet Club resulted as follows:—President, Miss J, Pole; vicepresident, Mrs. Burbige; secretary, Miss M. Jordan; treasurer, Mrs. Mahoney; committee,. Miss A. Pole, Mrs. Chirnside, Mrs. Ulmer, and Miss N. Jordan; captain, Mrs. Bradley; tea convener, Mrs. Flanagan; sports committee, Mrs. Bradley, Miss J. Pole, Mrs. Mahoney, Mrs. Chirnside, and Mrs. Krebs; patron, Mrs. Colin Campbell. Owing, however, to the death of the secretary, Miss M. Jordan, a special meeting was held later to appoint a new secretary, which resulted in Mrs. Mahoney resigning from office as treasurer to become secretary, and Miss A. Pole being re-elected as treasurer. The president spoke with feeling 61 the late secretary, Miss M. Jordan, and of the great loss the club has sustained through her death.
