ENTERTAINEP AT DINNER

Members of the Young Farmers' Club movement at present visiting Wellington were entertained to dinner by the New Zealand Farmers.' Union last night. Welcoming the visitors, and speaking on behalf of the president, Mr. W. Horokin, Dominion treasurer, said that both movements had much in common and they should endeavour to -cooperate to the utmost. * r ?

■ In proposing the toast of the Young Farmers' Clubs, Mr. Horokin said the Farmers' Union fully appreciated the work of the movement, and they looked to it to prepare the farmers of the future.

Messrs. G. Anderson and D. McGlassen, replying, spoke highly of the assistance of the Department of Agriculture.

Mr. S. Freeman, Dominion organiser of the Young Farmers' Club movement, proposing the toast of the Farmers' Union, spoke of the relation between the two movements'. In tracing the progress of the clubs, he praised the . assistance given by the Farmers' Union.

Replying, Mr. A. P. O'Shea, Dominion secretary, spoke of the need for close co-operation between the two movements. x

During the day the party visited the Railway Workshops, Wellington Woollen Mills, and the Ford and General Motors Assembly Works.
