PROJECTOR FOR CLYDE QUAY SCHOOL

A memorable event occurred in th« history of Clyde Quay School recently. The Home and School Association : invited parents committee, and staff to be present at Vie installation of a picture projector', which the association was presenting to the school. The machine is the very .latest type, and judgin" by the programme submitted should be of great help both to teachers and pupils. . • ■'' ■ Mr. W. N. Phillips, chairman of tha school committee, presided, and m welcoming the visitors spoke of the great help the association had been in everything pertaining to the school's advancement and after congratulating the association on having secured the projector, called on the president, Mrs. Da Clut, to make the gift to the school. The headmaster, Mr. J. Rodgers, m accepting it for the school, said how pleased he was to receive such a gift and thanked all who in any way had helped to make the purchase.of such a great gift possible. „■ A very entertaining programme was then enjoyed. During the interval Dr. Champtuloup. school medical officer, gave a brief address on school health affairs, and issued an invitation to parents to come to an afternoon meeting at a later date. Supper was afterwards served.
