ARRESTS BY JAPAN
CONSPIRACY IN MANCHUKUO

TOKIO, February 11. ! The lifting of the censorship reveals j that an alleged Communist conspiracy in Manchukuo late in 1937 resulted in 482 arrests, including women. Eightyfive were sentenced to death, 64 to penal servitude, 31 were placed on parole, 36 were acquitted, and 1561 cautioned. The remainder are still on! trial. . ' i Police report that those arrested -attempted to disaffect the Manchukuo troops and instigate banditry. .
