FIVE O'CLOCK PARTY
MAETSUYCKER- ENTERTAINS
Although. the weather yesterday afternoon was far from pleasant for entertaining, a happy informal cocktail party was given- by Mr. D. Stammers (Sydney manager of the Koninklijke Paket Vaart Maatschappi Line) and Captain J. Staal (commander of the m.v. Maetsuycker) on board the vessel at 5 p.m. yesterday.
Succulent savouries and confections, and iced cocktails served attractively, were obtained on the promenade deck and in the comfortable lounge.
■The party was largely attended by representative shipping and city people, and was a great success.
