Some sudden ; transfoiTnation take.s place every time Don Ameche .walks rin' a' set at^2otH Century-Fox rhei entire atmosphere and;the attitudes of the people working there change suddenly. It isn't the^hush'that prevails on- a Gi-eta,G«rbo .set, nor yet the spirit of horseplay which Jack Oakie inspires.. .With Ameche it is a sudden dropping oS all tension and the relaxation^nto lightheartedness and incma- ■ tion to laugh at any banter, ams is the combined opinion of everyone : working with him. Ameche is one of ( Sose rtre individuals whose presence ; makes itself distinctly felt, and there are many technicians and workers who cSthat this state of affairs has prevented many, disruptions where production problems become extremely knotty. -No-one .can exactly f classify Ameche's■ personality, but. .there is always a brightening of faces- among studio workers-when they are assignId to a picture in which Don is working. -His-next 20th Century-Fox picture is "Love Under Fire," in which he is ccistarred with Loretta Young.
