" UniversaVs latest offering, "You're a Sweetheart,'" is , not, as its title suggests, '■; a. sentimental love story with appropriate 'music. The title conies from tlie very pleasing theme-song, which, as sung by Alice Faye, provides the ultimate in "swing" melody. The film was screenea privately in Wellington this week, and should appeal to! all those who enjoy film entertainment of the non-stop musical revue type. : Opposite Alice Faye in the leading role is George Murphy, well known on Broadway and in the film world'as a ' leading exponent o^ tapdancing. He acts the part of a> college man, forced to take a job as a -waiter, who helps a revue company out of a difficult position. The company, which.is opening a season on Broadway with a new star - (Alice Faye), suddenly discovers that its opening is scheduled to take place on Milk'Fund Benefit Night; which means that its .reception will not be a good one. Murphy's idea, which hei cai nes out, is to play the part, of an Oklahoma'oil millionaire who is so enamoured of the leading lady that he buys out the entire" house lor £ week > enjoy the performance.
