CARNEGIE GRANT

MR. G. N. T. GOLDIE TO TRAVEL

Mr. G. N. T. Goldie, assistant chief traffic inspector of the City Engineer's staff, has received intimation from Dr. Beeby that he has been made a travelling visitor's grant by the Carnegie Trust Corporation. Subject to the consent of the City Council, Mr. Goldie intends to take advantage of the opportunity, to study town-planning and traffic developments in other countries, and will probably visit England and the United States. This is one of the six grants made by the Carnegie Corporation this year.

Mr. Goldie is a member of the Institute of Surveyors, an associate member of the Town Planning Institute, England, and a member of the council for the Town Planning Institute of New Zealand. Quite recently he was admitted as associate member to the Institute of Traffic Engineers, New York.
