VICTORIA LEAGUE
A NEW DEPARTURE
News has come to the Wellington Victoria League that the governing body in London (which always has made it a rule to avoid overlapping with other existing institutions and to decline any share in schemes which trench on the spheres of politics, trade, or commerce) has decided to extend a very fine privilege to firms of recognised standing in the cities in the form of "corporate membership" covering any Individuals whom the firms may wish to introduce. This would include either their overseas correspondents or agents visiting Great Britain (or other business men bringing introductions to them) or, alternatively, members .of their firm going overseas to places where the Victoria League has branches. Such introductions to the league and its branches. will include the wives and families of business men travelling with them. No other organisation has made arrangements of this kind, and probably that of the Victoria League will become very popular.
