HAPPY ENTERTAINING
A successful cocktail party followed by dancing m the ballroom was given by Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Hill at their home in Grant Road recently. The lounge and supper-rooms looked very gay with witch bowls of beautiful flowers. The ballroom had large bunches of balloons arranged around the walls. Mrs. T. H. Hill greeted her guests, assisted by Mrs. J. Fanner. Her frock was of black cobweb lace over silver lame, featuring the new high shoulder. Mrs.1" J. Farmer wore sea green matalasse cut on Grecian lines. Two clever dances were given by Palmela Waldin (acrobatic dance) and Ruth Hill (Russian dance). Among those present were Miss Downe and Miss Audrey Hill, Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Atkinson, Mrs. H. Culling, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Crighton, Miss M. Ball, Miss Ruth Burr, Mr. and Mrs. G. Young, Miss I. Cresswell, Miss S. Skipper, Mr. Wm. Southerland, Mr. A. Dyment, Mr. A. Tripe, Mr. G. Summerville, and Mr. B. Triplaw.
