NOTES FROM THE CLUBS
As its final night of the season the Aotea Club held a social and dance on Wednesday, November 10, with the presentation of trophies by the president. Mr. Gill. The following is a list of the main prize winners :-rClub championship, W. -,- Scambaty; runner-up, P. Stewart: ladies' championship, Mrs. JJawson; handicap aggregate, B.Dawson; runner-up, D. Cameron; most improred shot, Mrs. Foley; W.A.F.T: Cup, w.. Scambary (won outright); special ladies' competition, Mrs.. Young; S.Ji.R.C. Certificates, A-grade, W. Scambary; B grade, R. "Chapman; C grade, Mrs. Dawson. Bell Medal, J, Stewart. Teams competition, P. Stewart, M. p'Grady, B. Dalley. V. Walker, and M. West. , , " ONSLOW CLUB. The Onslow-Club held Its presentation of trophies *t a social. evening.on November 11, A large number of members and frlendi were present. The. president, Mr. ; E.'. G. Rodger, presented the trophies, of which the chief were as follows:—Club championship, F. E: Bradshaw; ladies' championship, Mrs. I. Gallic ; grand aggregate, F. Freeman; B grade, F. Freeman; C grade, M. Hooper. RIVERBANK CLUB. All club competitions for the Riverbank Club have been completed, and th« season finished. The club championship was won by Mis 3E. Watson-Munro after a shoot oft with Mrs. Johnson. ■ ' . .-■ ' A ten-shot ''own-start" competition held last month resulted In a win for Mrs. Nightingale, who will hold the Witcombe and Caldwell Cup for a year. .. '. ■ . ... ■ -~ • ■ ■ The NeiU Cup, presented by Mr. Nelll, of Petone, was won by Miss Bryan, and the Unity Cup, presented by Mr.: R... Foote, was won by Mr. N. Mr. Brown was tl»o awarded the August Cup for-the molt Improved shot; he Joined the club . only this year, Mrs. Krause, also a first-year shot, has been'awarded Mrs. Ching's consolation prize. .
A successful dance and social was held on Saturday night at the' Oddfellows' Hall, Petone, when Mr. A. G. B. Foote (vice-president) presented the cups 'and trophies. In addition to those above the following-also received trophies-:—Mrs. Nightingale, Figure- of Merit aggregate. O. M. Chlng Memorial Cup; run-ner-up, Mrs. Johnson. Monthly trophies, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs.' Fullford, Mr. Fulltord, . Mr. Hoare, Mr. Brown-: runners-up, Mrs. Maltland, Miss Watson-Munro, Miss Bryan, Mrs. Hoare. Mr. Sundholme. " ' ■ ■ '
Mrs. Rushton, the; secretary, was presented with a small token of appreciation of her energetic work for the club, and was also presented by Mr. A. J. B. Foote, on behalf of the members, with a beautiful hearthrug.
A friendly evening was held at the range on Thursday when a .nuiqbcr .of visitors were entertained.; Teams were, picked by the captain and vice-captain, and,a novelty shoot was conducted by shooting on the backs. of the targets., Mr. Davidson, a visitor, .< and Miss Watson-Sluriro had the • highest scores.
