WAIWETU CLUB
The summer season of the Waiwetu Club was opened en .Saturday afternoon, when a good muster of players and visitors from other clubs took part in a flag competition. This event was won by T. J. Harvey, who holed out on the 19th green, closely.followed by R. Roberts, whose last shot reached within two feet of the 19th pin. Stroke rounds played during the —eekend' fqr points in the Summer Cup series resulted in a number of good cards being returned, the leading net scores being H. Bice 68, H. Roberts 70, L. Farrant, J. J. Garbett, and D. Johnston each 72. ' Next1 Saturday afternoon a Stableford bogey will be played, and_ on Sunday bogey rounds for cap points is scheduled.
