GOLDEN WEDDING

MR. AND MES. DU FLOU.

A golden wedding celebrated yesterday was that of Mr. and • Mrs. Dv Flou, of 74 Hobson Street. They were married in Belgium 50 years ago, but have lived for many years in New Zealand. '

The day began with Mass, celebrated at St. Mary's Church, and then a number of friends gathered at the home to wish the bride'and bridegroom of 50 years ago continued good health and happiness. A handsome wedding cake was cut and healths drunk with much cordiality. Beautiful golden tinted flowers filled the house, sent in by many friends, and cable messages, and telegrams came from many parts of the world where Mr. and Mrs. Dv Flou have friends and relatives.

Those present included Miss Marie Dv Flou. Mr. Leo Dv ,Flou, Mr. and Mrs. C. Dv Flou and their son Brian, Mr. and Mrs.. L. Dv Flou, Sir Charles and Lady Statham, Captain and Mrs. Holm, Monsignor Connolly, Rev. Dr. ■Walsh, Dr. Cotton, Mr. and Mrs.' J. Kennedy, Mrs. A. M. Murray, Miss Butt; Mrs. O'Brien, Mrs. McClellan, Mrs. C. Sullivan, Mrs. S. Keruse, Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Brightwell, Mrs. Carmody, Mrs. T. Pound, Mrs. M. Dennis, Miss M. Shaw, Miss M. Ross, and a number of other friends.

At the church Mrs. C. Dv Flou sang "Aye Maria," by Del Riego, and the choir of St. Mary's Convent also sang two, numbers.
