ESPERANTO CLUB

The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club was held on Monday in the temporary clubroom, Woodward Street. ■

Mr. Bertram PottSi who presided, stated that,, comrhencing next week, the club would meet in Miss Rabe's studio,- two doors to the left of the Wairarapa Farmers, Lambton Quay. It was a large hall, equipped with a stage and suitable for the presentation of plays,- an important part of the' club's programme activities. He announced with regret the passing away of Mr. H. Webster, father of Misses ,E. and R. Webster, two members of the club. The members stood in silence as ,a mark of respect. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. Vogt, senior, who had placed the cafeteria at the service of the club as a meeting-place, and the president was instructed to write him, tendering the best wishes of the members during his present, illness. ■ , Greetings were received from Esperanto clubsv in Hungary, China,-and Australia."
