Throughout today hundreds of motorcars from all parts of the West Coast, as far north as Karamea and south to Weheka, departed for the second Test at Christchurch tomorrow. The majority of the excursionists will return on Sunday. The Lewis Pass road is being used
for the first time by motorists from Inangahua and Buller districts, while most southern drivers are proceeding via Arthur's Pass, both roads being in excellent order.
